The economic impact of COVID-19 through job losses and reduced incomes has created and will continue to create enormous pressure on people’s incomes and their household budgets.
Research for Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS) has revealed, that since Covid-19 restrictions began, almost half of people in Scotland are running out of money before payday, and a third of this group indicating that their situation is getting worse.
Citizens Advice Scotland has launched “The Money Map tool”,
providing an online advice tool, that brings together options which are available for people who are feeling a squeeze on their finances. It provides access to information on how people can improve their incomes and cut their living costs through areas such as housing, benefits, grants, energy bills, food and clothing as well as tips on savings, budgeting. Tax codes, wages and banking with links to online sites where options can be accessed.
